As life-long learning and professional development become more a part of professional planning, teachers are not limiting themselves to "one-shot workshops" and traditional courses, they are creating unique ways to learn and grow.  In some districts teachers have their own institutes and arrange their own training.  In some schools, teachers have cooperative groups, sometimes via the Internet, where they work together to share and instruct one another on methods and techniques and to spread information and innovations.
